Objective：To provides the reference for the clinical treatment of esophageal gastric varices from clinical effect of endoscopic variceal ligation and tissue adhesive injection with drug treatment in patients with esophagogastric varices. Methods: A total of 77 patients with bleeding esophageal varices diagnosed by gastroscope examination randomized into 2 groups: control group and observation group。The control group of 42 patients was treated with drug treatment of somatostatin and esomeprazole。observation group of 35 patients was treated with endoscopic variceal ligation and tissue adhesive injection with drug treatment of somatostatin and esomeprazole。The esophagogastric varices total disappearance rate，rebleeding rate，complication rates were observed in 1month，6months and 12months after treatment。Result：The esophagogastric varices total disappearance rate，rebleeding rate，complication rates of observation group were significantly lower than that of the control group(P＜0.05）。Conclution: endoscopic variceal ligation and tissue adhesive injection with drug treatment is safe and effective for patients with esophagogastric varices.This treatment is worth extending.
