Abstract:Objective To explore the serum, newborn and trace elements in umbilical cord blood of pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus. Methods neonatal umbilical cord blood serum of pregnant women in our hospital, normal pregnancy and late pregnancy, maternal serum diabetes as the observation object, it can be divided into two groups, the control group was normal late pregnancy in 60 cases, 60 cases of neonatal umbilical cord blood; the observation group for late pregnancy diabetes serum of pregnant women in 60 cases, 60 cases of neonatal umbilical cord blood. All use Hitachi 7600 automatic biochemical analyzer, Roche automatic analysis instrument, the control group two, calcium magnesium, iron, zinc, copper and iron content. Results compared with control group, serum zinc content, compared to the observation group was higher, and P is less than 0.05; while the control group, serum iron and copper content compared to the observation group was lower, and P is less than 0.05, the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion the occurrence of gestational diabetes mellitus may be related to the decrease of serum trace elements zinc and the increase of iron and copper in pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus. In addition, in normal or pathological conditions, the body of the pregnant woman should first ensure the availability of trace elements to the fetus
